About the role
As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities. You troubleshoot malfunctions in production lines and utilities, perform preventive maintenance, and support equipment upgrades and installations.
Your work helps ensure that production can continue without technical disruptions and always meets the highest quality and safety standards. You’ll be part of a dedicated technical team working in shifts (3-shift).
In this role, you will troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues with machinery and installations, while also performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment and maintain accurate documentation, including machine schematics and maintenance logs. Close collaboration with operators is essential, particularly when supporting root cause analysis of recurring issues. You will be expected to work safely at all times, in full compliance with hygiene and HACCP regulations. In addition, you will guide and coordinate external technicians on-site to ensure that all operations are carried out smoothly and safely.
What do you bring
To succeed in this role, you bring a completed Red Seal qualification as an Electrician, Millwright, or Mechanical Fitter. You have solid, hands-on experience in technical maintenance within an industrial environment ideally in the food or packaging sector. Your strong troubleshooting skills enable you to work independently and efficiently, even under time pressure.
You are comfortable working with both mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics. You are capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, allowing you to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and accurately.
A good command of English is essential, although speaking Dutch is not required. Finally, you are open to relocating to the Netherlands. As an international candidate, you’ll receive full relocation support through the Highly Skilled Migrant Program, including help with visa, housing, and local registration.
