A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Engineer
Starting at 6:00 a.m. (or 14:00 p.m. for the late shift), you'll jump into the day with energy and enthusiasm. As a Maintenance Engineer at TGW, you get to work directly on-site at LKQ Fource in Berkel en Rodenrijs, making a real impact. You're the go-to person for anything related to maintenance and malfunctions, so you get to make your mark on every aspect of the company.
During the morning meeting, you and your team discuss the status of the automated order-picking system.An operator reports that a conveyor belt is not running smoothly, so you get to work on your analysis right away. Is it a broken roller, a faulty sensor, or a software malfunction? After a quick diagnosis, you replace the defective component and test the system. Everything runs smoothly again. TGW takes care of the entire maintenance process for LKQ Fource, and with regular inspections, you ensure that all components remain in top condition. You check bearings, motors, and electrical connections to prevent malfunctions before they occur.During a meeting with the LKQ Fource team, you discuss areas for improvement, suggesting a software update and advising on optimising the transport systems. Thanks to your input, the warehouse operates more efficiently, minimising the risk of failures. And at the end of your shift, you hand over your findings to the amazing colleagues in the next shift, knowing that your work ensures LKQ Fource can continue operating without concerns.
What do you bring to the table?
We're looking for someone with passion, enthusiasm, and an interest in various aspects of technology. You'll enjoy working in an open and pragmatic work environment where growth and initiative are key. You'll thrive in a dynamic setting and are not afraid to get your hands dirty. And if you're not afraid of heights, even better!
- You have a completed education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or Mechatronics (MBO 3-level).
- Experience as a breakdown engineer or in a similar maintenance role within an automated or industrial environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, Canbus and Profinet? That would be absolutely great!
- You are proactive, flexible and like a challenge.
- You are willing to work a two-shift schedule.
Employment benefits
- A gross monthly salary in the range of €3,500 and €4,100 based on 39 hours;
- Immediate permanent contract for an indefinite period;
- Shift bonus of 14%;
- Working in an international organisation with a family atmosphere;
- Travel allowance (€0.23 per km, max. 100 km per day);
- 32 days off per year;
