About the role
As an Operator Laser Cladding, you will be responsible for operating the laser cladding machine and carrying out the complete cladding process on large rods used for hydraulic cylinders. These rods can reach lengths of up to 20 metres, making this a position where you will work with impressive and technically challenging components.
You will set and adjust machine parameters and monitor the cladding process to ensure that the required quality and specifications are achieved. You will also identify and resolve deviations or malfunctions during the process and carry out quality checks on the finished components. When changing to different dimensions, you will be responsible for preparing and converting the machine accordingly.
You will work from technical drawings and use measuring equipment to check the quality and accuracy of the work. Because the products and projects vary, no working week is exactly the same. You will work largely independently at the machines while working closely with colleagues involved in the preparation and finishing of the components.
An important part of the role is thinking along with the production process. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas for process improvements and help determine how components can be produced as efficiently and effectively as possible.
You will initially work in a two-shift system from 06:00 to 14:30 and from 14:30 to 23:00. Due to the increasing demand for laser cladding, there is the possibility that the department will move to a three-shift system in the future. The work is organised in such a way that your weekends remain free.
What you bring
We are looking for someone with a technical education or strong practical technical experience. Previous experience in laser cladding is an advantage, but a strong technical background and the ability to learn a specialised process are also important.
You are able to read and understand technical drawings and work confidently with measuring equipment. You work accurately, think ahead and take responsibility for the quality of your work. You are comfortable working independently but also enjoy working closely with colleagues from other parts of the production process.
You have a practical and proactive mindset and are interested in improving processes and solving technical problems. A good command of either English or Dutch is required.
What we offer
- Gross monthly salary of €4,357.
- 20% shift allowance for working in a two-shift system.
- 27% shift allowance if the department moves to a three-shift system.
- 8% holiday allowance.
- Annual profit-sharing scheme.
- 40 days of annual leave, consisting of 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days.
Full support from Stavro throughout the entire relocation process, including visa and immigration procedures, documentation and guidance in moving to and settling in the Netherlands.
