Electrical Maintenance Technician

Role description

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician (Storingsmonteur E), you are responsible for carrying out both corrective and preventive maintenance, as well as supporting new construction and expansion projects in the field of electrical and electronic systems. Your primary objective is to ensure the reliability and safety of the site.

You will respond to malfunction reports from production, diagnose faults, identify root causes, and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will conduct periodic inspections of electrical and utility installations to proactively detect unsafe situations and initiate corrective actions. You will maintain and repair measurement and control systems, including process automation systems such as PLCs.

The role also includes preparing and executing work related to modifications, expansions, overhauls, and new installations, such as installing and connecting cable networks, switchboards, and electric motors in accordance with specifications. You may provide technical guidance to external contractors, perform administrative tasks in SAP such as documenting findings and tracking time and materials, update technical documentation and drawings, and maintain tools and measurement equipment while applying relevant safety standards such as NEN1010 and NEN3140.

Requirements

For this position, you have a redseal or millwright education. You have proven knowledge of troubleshooting PLC systems, specifically Siemens S7. You are capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and you demonstrate strong analytical skills. A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement is essential, as well as the ability to remain effective under pressure in a production environment.
